Obituary for Helen M. King
Helen M. King, age 86, of Knox, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Culver. Helen was born November 17, 1935 in Knox, to Fredrick Gerstandt and Helena Werner Gerstandt, both deceased. She loved playing dice and playing cards, and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs Fan. She had been married to Willard King, who preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her children, Michael R. King of Winamac, Edward W. King of Knox, and Cynthia S. Wieringa of Knox, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, George, Bob, Harold and Don Gerstandt, and Marguerite O’Connor and Magdaline Kozubik.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
