Obituary for Harry Misner Jr.
Harry F. Misner, Jr., age 78, of Grovertown, IN passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home. Harry was born October 1, 1936 in Chicago to Harry Misner Sr. and Margaret (Hersberg) Misner, both deceased. Harry had worked over 35 years as a truck driver for Waste Management, he had also been a member of the Roberts Park and Bridgeview Volunteer Fire Departments, was a Life Member and former Governor of the Knox Moose Lodge, and was a life member of the NRA. On December 8, 1956, in Chicago, he married Merlin "Toots" Gabby, she preceded him in death on April 14, 2004. He is survived by his children, Deborah Lynn Denneny of Brookfield, IL, Harry Misner III of Chicago, Dennis Misner of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Benjamin Misner of Palos Heights, IL, a sister, Bonnie Harper of Palos Park, IL, and 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and a dear, loving friend, Gloria Worlow. He was a loving brother-in-law of the Gabby Family. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Palumbo and a brother, Jerry Misner. A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 11:00am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooseheart Indiana House in his memory.
