Obituary for Hanna E. Mlekodaj
Hanna E. Mlekodaj, age 89, of Knox passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Wintersong Village in Knox. Hanna was born October 23, 1926 in North Judson, Indiana to Joseph and Antonia (Budka Fort) Fukan, both deceased. She married Leo P. Mlekodaj in 1948 he survives. Together they had five children. Ronald (Nancy) Mlekodaj of Kingston, TN, Nancy (James) Kopchik of Knox, Susan (Don) Lambert of West Lafayette, IN, Gary Mlekodaj of Winamac, IN, and Linda Mlekodaj she preceded her in death. 9 grandchildren, and 12 Great grandchildren. Siblings, Frank Fort, Antoinette "Tony" Culp, Josephine Novotny, and Marie Zakostelsky. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society of Knox, Starke County Genealogy Society (she helped document and map all the graves in Starke County Cemeteries), Lifelong bowler and Secretary of Knox Women's Bowling Association, Former leader of Country Crickets 4-H club, Lifelong avid crafter, including sewing, quilting , painting. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 4-8pm (ct) at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10am (ct) at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the Crown Hill Cemetery.
