Obituary for Glenn Harris
E. Glenn Harris, age 79, of Knox, passed away March 19, 2014. Glenn was born September 22, 1934 in Chicago to the late Earl G. Harris and the late Kathryn Woolf Harris. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Glenn is a retired school teacher and Assistant Principal for the Chicago School System, a 50 year member/actor in local community theatre, 50 year Mason, active member of VFW, a crossword puzzle aficionado, and for 31 years never missed an opening day at Redamak's in New Buffalo, MI. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sanders Harris of Knox, his children, Brant Harris of Chicago, Julie Engelstad (Curt) of Goshen, KY, Jean Tuszynski (John) of Bridgeman, MI, and Jennifer Holt (Terrey) of Michigan City, IN, his grandchildren, Ryan and Nate Harris, Samantha Rhodes (Jerod) and Kathleen Van't Hof, Jared and Taylor Tuszynski, and Jeff and Anthony Holt, great grandchildren Hollis and Harper Rhodes. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A celebration of life service will take place Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 4:00pm (CDT), with visitation one hour prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Footlight Players of Michigan City.
