Galen Howard, age 71, of Knox, passed away November 12, 2023. Galen was born November 19, 1951, in Jackson, Kentucky to Berry and Laura Howard, both deceased. One of 12 children, he is survived only by his sister, Flora McCollum of North Judson, a daughter, Robin Watson of Kentucky, his five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter and a son, Crystal Howard and Christopher Howard. He was also preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters, Geneva Davis, Daisy Napier, Flossie Howard, Beatrice Hounshell, Marie Stacy, George Howard, Bill Howard, Cluster Howard, Hoya Howard and Benton Howard. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
