Obituary for Floyd Atchison Jr.
Floyd Atchison, Jr., age 87, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018. Floyd was born October 22, 1930 in Warsaw, Indiana to Floyd Atchison Sr. and Bertha McGuire Atchison, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and had worked for many years as a Communications Tech for the United Telephone Company. On June 14, 1951 he married Josephine Robison, she preceded him in death on August 5, 1978. On April 26, 1986 he married Donna Barzydlo, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Carla Atchison of Warsaw, Cathy Atchison of Warsaw, Chris Atchison of North Webster, Indiana, and Mike Atchison of Sidney, Indiana, sisters, Mabel Aarmey, Janice Robison and Carol Nine, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Harry, Bill, Donald, and Robert Atchison, Marilyn and Ruby Atchison. Visitation will be Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10am (CT) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Hamlet, Indiana.
