Obituary for Elva Ruth Caryl Borth
Elva Ruth "Caryl" Borth Born Elva Ruth Witting on Sept 24, 1922 in Chicago, Cook County, Il., she died May 1, 2015 in Plymouth, IN at the age of 92. Caryl married Anthony J. "Tony" Borth on June 1, 1941. She lived in Chicago, Il, moved to Cheney, KS, back to Chicago, Il, on to Rensselaer, IN, then to Morocco, IN, to Knox, IN, and finally to Plymouth, IN. She is survived by her children, Richard Paul "Dick" Borth of Garland, TX, Michael Anthony Borth, Plymouth, IN, Scott Wesley Borth, Muncie, IN. Grandchildren: Donna Konz, Broomfield, CO, and Diana Lavaro, Newton, NJ., Daniel E Borth, Austin, TX, Jennifer Borth Hernandez, Sachse, TX. Great Grandchildren: Dylan Konz, Broomfield, CO, Hardison Daniel Borth, Austin, TX, Hatch Lyles Borth, Austin, TX, and Titus Sergio Hernandez, Sachse, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony and her daughter Patricia Borth Craig, her parents, Bert and Alice (Swanson) Witting, her brothers Richie, Harold, and Robert Witting and her sister Alice "Curley" Geiser. She was a member of English Lake Church and beside being involved in numerous church activities, Caryl also worked at Knox Office Supply (partner) and Idle-A-While Craft Shop (owner), Knox, IN. She was additionally involved in numerous craft type projects including quilting (earning ribbons for her quilts), ceramics, oil painting, scrapbooking, and sewing projects of all sorts. Graveside funeral services will take place Monday, May 4, 2015 at 2:00pm (CT) at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
