Obituary for Doris Elaine Siebenthal
Doris Elaine Siebenthal, age 87, of Knox, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Doris was born January 27, 1926 in Hamlet, IN to Vernon M. and Martha E. (Rennewanz) Weinkauf. On May 15, 1947 in LaCrosse, IN she married Harold "Bud" Siebenthal, who has preceded her in death. She loved traveling with Bud, gardening, collecting antiques, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Lyn Allen (Thomas) of Knox, Kay Byer (William) of Warsaw, Reed Siebenthal (Connie) of Muncie, and Thomas Siebenthal (Monika) of North Carolina, and her grandchildren, Eric Allen, Joel Allen, Keely Siebenthal, Walter Siebenthal, and Kerry Siebenthal, and great grandchildren, Bryce Allen, Paige Allen, Emilie Allen, Owen Allen, Iceseas Siebenthal-Hanson, and Kate Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Leslie Claire Siebenthal, a brother, Leonard Weinkauf, and a sister Ruth Swanson. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11am, with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
