Obituary for Doloras A. Dan
Doloras A. Dan, age 84, of Mishawaka, formerly of Bass Lake, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025. Doloras was born June 2, 1941 in Chicago to Ernest Scheuchner and Edith Hasse Scheuchner, both deceased. Over the years she has worked as a volunteer for many organizations, including; Community Services of Starke County, the Knox United Methodist Church and the Starke County Humane Society. In October 1983 she married John Dan, he preceded her in death in December of 2005. She is survived by her children, Christy Dan of Glen Ellen, Illinois, Sandra Boldt of South Bend, and Michael Dan (Lisa) of Knox, two brothers, Marvin Scheuchner (Ellen) of Michigan City and Gerald Scheuchner (DiDi) of Trenton, Illinois, 10 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 6pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Starke County Humane Society or Community Services of Starke County Food Pantry.
