Obituary for Debra L. King

Debra L. King, age 69, of Knox, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. Debra was born April 7, 1956 in Knox, Indiana. She was a very active and long-time member of the Moose and had worked for Starke County EMS for over 22 years as an Emergency Medical Technician. She was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother, Sue Patrick (the late Hobie) of Tennessee, her husband, James King of Knox, a son, Dennis Pingel (Mary) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a daughter, Martha Green of Union Mills, Indiana, a sister, Pam Lindemann (Bob) of Tennessee, a brother, Jeff Patrick (Melissa) of Tennessee, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A funeral service will take place at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1515 State Road 10, Knox, Indiana, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
