Obituary for Darlyn Humes Combs
Darlyn (Humes) Combs, age 84, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Darlyn was born July 6, 1940 in Knox to Orville Humes and Elsie Palm Humes, both deceased. She loved looking for good deals at thrift sales and yard sales. She also loved working on home décor, always painting and decorating around the house. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Combs of Knox, a sister, Bonnie Chambers of Knox, a granddaughter, Ashlee Reed (Jim) of North Judson, and two great granddaughters, Morgan and Lily Beem. She is preceded in death by a daughter Velvet Combs Howard. The family has honored her wish to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
