Obituary for Charles Bacewic, Sr.
Charles Bacewic, Sr., age 84, of Knox, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at his home. Charles was born April 26, 1929 in Beardstown, IN to Peter and Antoinette (Turksli) Bacewic, both deceased. He retired from V.N. Deprizio Construction at Bethlehem Steel. He took great pride in his home, yard, Flowers and Garden. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, country music, get togethers, casinos and camping. He was a wonderful dad, father-in-law, grandpa and great grandpa. He is survived by his sons, Charles Bacewic, Jr. (Pam) of Knox, Steven Ray Bacewic of Grovertown, Terry Lee Bacewic of Knox, and Jerry Bacewic of Knox, a sister, Bernice Lis of Antioch, IL, 12 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, sisters, Estelle Thompson, Valeria Vlcek, and Helen Blenke, brothers, Alex Bacewic, Joe Bacewic, Joe Bacewic, Edward Bacewic, William Bacewic, and Ray Banary. Visitation will be Monday, July 8, 2013 from 4-8pm at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11am at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery.
