Obituary for Cathie E. Eilers
Cathie E. Eilers, age 90, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Cathie was born May 13, 1933 in Campton, Kentucky to Calaway Puckett and Lou Bryant Puckett, both deceased. She had been a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church in Knox for over 50 years, she spent her lifetime joyfully caring for her children and husband and dearly loved spending time with her sisters, family was a very important part of her life. On June 26, 1954, she married Robert Eilers, he preceded her in death on December 30, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Straub (Joseph) of Rochester, Barbara Lynn Pilger (Mark) of Winamac, and Lesley Gail Miller (Craig) of Pendleton, IN, sisters and brothers, Gerri Wittchen of Knox, Wilma Palm of Yuma, AZ, Donna Scott of Plymouth, Wilgus Puckett of Knox, Ralph Puckett of Culver, Henry Puckett of Hamlet, and Calaway Puckett Jr. of Beardstown, IN, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Fannie Smith.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1pm (ET), with visitation one hour prior to services at the First Baptist Church of Winamac. M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox is handling arrangements.
