Obituary for Bobby R. Smith
Bobby R. Smith, age 87, of Knox, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. Bobby was born August 25, 1928 in Petros, Tennessee to Louis E. Smith and Grace Leach Smith, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Whiting Masonic Lodge 613. On December 24, 1949 he married Aline Demps, she preceded him in death on December 29, 2014. He is survived by his children, Judy Newnum (Raymond) of Knox, and Bobby Smith of Wheatfield, IN, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4-8pm (ct) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 10am (ct) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana.
