Obituary for Betty L. Woods
Betty L. Woods, age 81, of Culver, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. Betty was born at home in rural Starke County on May 30, 1933 to Sam and Olive Bailey, both deceased. She had worked for many years at the Monterey State Bank as a Bookkeeper, and had been a deputy Treasurer to the Starke County Treasurer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Woods. She is survived by her children, Michael Woods and Karen McFarland, both of Culver, and a brother, Sam Bailey Jr. of Monterey, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Bass Lake Cemetery.
