Obituary for Audrey Faye Salyers
Audrey Faye Salyers, age 92, of Anderson, South Carolina, formerly of Knox, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at her home. Audrey was born June 28, 1927 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Gideon Jones and Ellie Salyers Jones, both deceased. On May 31, 1946 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky she married Carl Salyers, he preceded her in death on October 21, 2000. On March 2, 2004 she married James “Curly” Fitzpatrick, he preceded her in death on April 25, 2006.
She is survived by two sisters, Goldie Allen of Anderson, South Carolina and Carol Sue Hunter of Springfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by sisters, June Jones, Mary Evelyn Jones, Jenny Anderson, Norma Kelley, Myrtle Pelphrey and Sylvia Kasky and brothers, Henry, Ernest, Chester, Marion and Howard Jones.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. Rev. Floyd Allen and Rev. Pat Allen will officiate.
