Obituary for Shirley A. Thompson
Shirley A. Thompson, age 87, of Knox, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Portage. Shirley was born January 31, 1931 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia to Wilburn Floyd Rethford and Florence Carver Rethford, both deceased. She married Richard K. Thompson in 1985 and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2016. She is survived by her children, Carlos Shrewsbury (Sandy) of Greencastle, IN, Danny Shrewsbury (Debbie) of Kentucky, Joan Shrewsbury (Treness) of West Virginia, Beverly Queer (Tom) of Knox, and Frank Shrewsbury (Mary) of Knox, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will take place Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00am (CT) at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
