• George Edward Brooke born May 5th 1939 in (Aldine) Indiana to Cecil Devon Brooke born in Culver Indiana and Amelia Dorothy Flinkow born in Chicago, IL. Passed away April 24, 2018 in North Judson, IN.
• On September 12th 1959 in Knox, Indiana, he married Melva (Hensley) Brooke, his wife of 58 years, who survives him. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Mary Ann Whetstone and Rose Ritchie and his brother James Brooke.
• The following family survives him:
• Daughters: Victoria Lynn (Roger) Kajer of Hanna, Indiana. Patti Ann (Steve) Craft of Knox, Indiana, and Sherry Diane Brooke of Indianapolis, Indiana.
• Grandsons: Blaine Lee (Ashli Wentz) Craft of Mooresville, North Carolina, Clinton Tyler (fiancé - Nicole Ziaja) Craft of North Judson, Indiana, Devin Kajer of Hanna, Indiana, and Jordon (Lynee Marsh) Kajer of Grovertown, Indiana.
• Great Granddaughters: Adelyn Craft of North Judson, Indiana, Emersyn Craft of Mooresville, North Carolina and Kinsley Kajer of Grovertown, Indiana.
• Siblings: Harold (Loretta Konrad) Brooke of North Judson, Indiana, Dorothy Mae (Cap) Briggs of Collierville, Tennessee, Ruth (Cecil) Risner of North Judson, Indiana, and Terry (Linda Howland) Brooke of Veneta, Oregon.
• Mr Brooke graduated from Knox High School and worked at Ford motor Company as a tool and die welder in Chicago Heights, Illinois, He retired in 1994 after 35 years.
Celebration of Life services for George "Ed" Brooke will be on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Knox Community Center located at 55 E Lake St, Knox, IN 46534 with a luncheon to follow immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to St. Judes Children's Hospital or Harbor Light Hospice in George Edward Brooke's name (Donation information listed below.) Ed was so good with kids as most of you know, so we feel like this is appropriate in light of the cancer diagnosis. Also, Harbor Light Hospice was so good to us during this time.
